Professor of Medicine
University of Washington
Robb MacLellan received his medical degree and internal medicine training at the University of Toronto, School of Medicine. He completed a Cardiology fellowship and advanced research training at the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston.
Dr. MacLellan is currently the Robert A. Bruce Endowed Chair in Cardiovascular Research, Head, Division of Cardiology and Director, UW Medicine Heart Institute at the University of Washington. He holds memberships in numerous professional organizations, including Fellow of the American Heart Association, Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Association of University Cardiologists and the American Society of Clinical Investigation.
His research has focused on developing new therapies for patient with congestive heart failure by identifying molecular targets that would allow targeted therapy to regenerate myocardium including stem cell therapy.
